We successfully completed our first competition season and we are happy to say that we will be moving on to season 2. It was a lot of work and definitely a bigger commitment than many of the girls have ever made, but worth it for the overall outcome which not only includes another Gold and High Gold award, but also noticeable improvement in skill and performance and a renewed enthusiasm for dance and being involved at the studio! That is what we LOVE!!! Some of the team members have been at the studio for several weeks over the summer volunteering their time to help out with our camps and even lending a hand organizing our props, costumes and cds. That is in addition to the first of 2, 15 hour week long intensive programs that we held for the juniors and seniors with Miss Katie and 2 guest ballet teachers, (Olivia Powell for the June week and Rachel White for the week in August).
It was our first year of having a competitive dance team and with lots of dedication and commitment, we made it through our first year so far with flying colors. One more step to go. After countless hours of practice and qualifying at the local competition…the girls are heading to Nationals in Maine! Miss Katie and Miss Nicole gave it their all to create 2 terrific routines for the groups. Here’s to doing the best we can do and having fun in the process! Good Luck!
It is official, in the age of social media, we have arrived and created a blog! We hope to inspire, inform, educate and entertain you with our posts, articles, stories and photos! Get a glimpse into the lives of the owners, staff and students at APAA and find out what goes on behind the scenes at the studio! So as they say in show biz…”On With The show”!
